Pumpkin Patch

Here we are at the Pumpkin Patch. Great Grandma Lou went with us. This was Tyler's and Grandma Lou's first visit to the Pumpkin Patch. We took a hayride, visited a petting zoo, play in bouny houses, and Ashley rode the "cow train". I called it "Disneyland in Dirt."

Splish-Splash

Now that Tyler is older, it's easier to put both kids in the bath at the same time. Ashley loves having Tyler in there with her. She is such a good Big Sissy. She washes him and makes sure he's never without a toy. Of course, the biggest "toy" in the tub for Tyler is Ashley. Ashley likes to" cook" things in the bath, so I'd given her one of Tyler's little spoons to "cook" with. Well, this spoon has become a game between the two of them. She puts it into her mouth and he grabs at it until he's able to pull it out. They both crack up when he's successfull. They have such a good time.

Tyler Update

Well, Tyler is crawling, "Army" style. Here he is up on all fours getting in some practice for when he takes off. For now, he is all over the house and finding ever little speck of anything on the floor. We sweep the floors nonstop. It is so cute watching him become mobile. His favorite thing to do is crawl over to the sliding glass doors and look outside and start talking to (or yelling at, he gets pretty loud) the dogs. In the past couple of weeks, we've been introducing him to "real" food, which isn't going over very well. One thing we've discovered is his love for Cheerios. He would eat them nonstop if we'd let him. He's also gotten very good at feeding himself. Here he is eating Cheerios, of course, waiting for dinner to be served.

A Fun Saturday Morning

Well, it's not too often that we get to have some down time on the weekends. It seems that there is always something going on or something to do. A couple of weeks ago we actually had a calm Saturday morning. John went up to Paul's and bought some of their famous Apple Fritters for breakfast. This was Tyler's first experience with a donut.....needless to say, he loved it. Ashley always enjoys these donuts when we get them. They are such a special treat.
The evening prior, I had given Ashley a package of bottles that I received when we were expecting her that had never been opened. She played nonstop that night with her babies and these bottle. (Moments like these I wonder why we buy expensive toys when a $2 package of bottles brought her way more enjoyment.) Well, after our delicious donut breakfast, she climbed up on the couch and gave each one of her babies a bottle. It was so cute. She said "Mom, my babies are STARVING!"

Ashley's New Toy

Daddy decided that it was time for Ash to get a "real" 4-wheeler. So, after finding a good deal, he surprised her with one. She was very patient while Daddy was explaining how it "works" to her. She was so cute but her hand quickly grew tired from pushing the gas. She did great for a first timer, but the first ride did end in a collision with John's truck tire. As you might have guessed, it is camoflauge, just like Daddy's!!! (Don't worry, she'll have a real helmet the next time she rides)
